ARE you a singer, musician or have another act. the team at Ballarat’s Got Talent want to hear from you. Organiser The Ballarat Vocal Arts Association are looking to fill heats of the competition during September. Vacancies are still available for September 13th and if you have ever wanted to entertain an audience here is your opportunity. All ages are welcome to enter and experience is not necessary. Entries have been coming in from around the Ballarat region and beyond. A move to an exciting new venue: Gold Rush Mini Golf and Cabaret Club will also see a major change this year to the running of the competition. Heats are held on selected Sunday afternoons between 1pm and 4.30pm commencing September 6th. There will be two separate sections Local and Victorian, with the winners and 2nd placegetters in each section going into the grand final.
Another innovation this year, will be the opportunity for contestants who are placed 3rd and 4th, (on the judges scores) to have a second chance, where they can perform again. This gives many more an opportunity to make the grand final. The Cabaret club at the Gold Rush Mini Golf complex holds approximately 150 people so there will also be an audience vote at each heat. The act with the highest number of votes will take home $100 in cash and also go into the grand final. Prizes will include Heat winners sharing in $700 cash and the Grand Final winners will share in $2000 cash, a trophy, plus a specially made promotional DVD valued at $2000 courtesy Vision By Demunk. A $10 entrance fee will apply to all ages who attend the heats except the actual contestant. Food and drinks will be available at the venue and members of the public are welcome to attend the heats and grand final.
