WHILE the recent Scotsburn/Clarendon fires did not directly affect the Elaine Cricket Club, Cricket Victoria wanted to do something for the club, which has grown from strength to strength over recent years.

Elaine Cricket President Murray Arnel said, “Cricket Victoria wanted to do something for the Club because we’ve been caught up in the bushfires, so they sent out a person and he took training for the juniors at the club.” “It was much appreciated by the club, although the club itself wasn’t affected, overall it was very, very nice of Cricket Victoria to come down and give guidance to our junior players.

“We have at least three who have played at association level and all state level so it was really good for the kids to have that expertise at their training.”
