There will be tea pots everywhere come Begonia time

THE Ballarat Cactus and Succulent Society held its annual show over the weekend with an amazing display proving very popular with visitors. Club member Judith Lewis said it had been a good showing, “steady for us, you were never rushed and had time to talk to people but it’s been a really good weekend. “We just like to show people what you can grow and how to grow it and there is a variety of stuff and some amazing things on display.” The Ballarat Cactus and Succulent Society is involved in a number of events each year with one of the largest being the Begonia Festival where the group displays and has for sale cacti and other succulent plants during the Labor Day Long Weekend in the Ballarat Botanical Gardens. “We have been roped into potting up succulents into teapots, again, for the Begonia Festival. There will be teapots of every shape ,size and colour that you can think of I’ve done 78 so far.”
