THE Pride NC gave local netballers the opportunity to compete at State League / VNL level for 20 years 19952015 with several premierships on the way to the top Championship, Division 1 & 19/ U.

The task of getting 30 players, 3 coaches, scorers, primary care personnel coupled with the onerous administration and costs, meant much effort by a small band of volunteers. The Pride NC then turned its attention to the need for grassroots development and in 2015, Head Coach Jo Dash O.A.M & championship player Cindy Daniel started the PRIDE NETBALL ACADEMY for netballers aged between 12-15 years. The Academy teaches keen young netballers basic skills ball handling, footwork, rules of the game, strength and conditioning, correct technique, practical home practices .

The program runs for a school term with a 2 day Camp to finish off. Federation University lecturers Dr Deb Pascoe, Nev Down , local sporting heroes Jo Peoples , Sascha Veldhuis and Emma Farrell lend their expertise, respected coaches Julie Hoornweg (former Head Coach Phoenix/ Vixens) Robyne Dawson ( ormer Phoenix/Vixens) Pam Strong , Mark Melnikas and Kerry Lightfoot , nutritious after session snacks, conditioning coach Chris Radford , yoga teacher Sandra Citta, umpire guru Ann Castles join the program each year.
