BALC visitors who made a $2 donation to the Cancer Council could choose from a delicious selection of cakes and sweet treats on offer – including a mud cake donated by the Mayor with money raised going to the Cancer Council. Cr Hudson encouraged patrons to participate in the Biggest Morning Tea and help raise vital funds for cancer research. “In doing this small gesture in terms of sharing morning tea together, allows us to make a contribution to help fund vital research,” he said. Also in attendance was Shadow Minister for Health, Catherine King MP who added, “ right across the country there are Biggest Morning Teas happening today and through the course of this week and of course its raising money for the Cancer Council to make sure we actually do have good investment in research into cancer.”
