YOUNG Ballarat Western Bulldogs fans have the chance to run out with their team at Etihad Stadium at the Anzac Weekend clash against the Brisbane Lions on Saturday 23 April.

A competition was launched Tuesday by City of Ballarat Mayor, Cr Des Hudson to find a Mini Mascot from the Ballarat region for the game. North Ballarat and Western Bulldogs player, Brett Goodes (now the Western Bulldogs Engagement Manager) joined the Mayor with a few young local Doggie fans to kick the competition off at Ballarat’s recently redeveloped Eureka oval.

The Mini Mascot winner gets a Doggies team uniform and runs through the banner with the team. They also win General Admission tickets to the evening game at Etihad Stadium on Saturday April 23. For fans aged over 18 years who have a ticket for the game, there’s the chance to do the honors in the traditional toss of the coin.

The competitions are part of the City of Ballarat’s partnership with the Western Bulldogs, who will play their first games in Ballarat in 2017 once the new $15 million Eureka stadium is Constructed. To enter the competition go to  http://www.visitballarat.com.au/deals-pages/competition-t-c-s
