PROSPECTIVE students voted with their feet yesterday by recording a 10 per cent increase in Open Day attendances at FedUni’s Ballarat and Gippsland Campuses.
“We are delighted to have hosted so many eager Open Day visitors at our three Ballarat Campuses and at Churchill,” Professor David Battersby, Vice-Chancellor, said.
“There was a noticeable increase in visitors from last year and our staff also reported that prospective students were staying at our information stalls for much longer.
“We estimate Ballarat attendances increased from 9000 to 10,000 and Gippsland went up from 2000 to 2200,” Professor Battersby said.
“It is exciting to have these great figures following our recent number one Victorian ranking for teaching quality.”
The University’s 2015 Open Day website also recorded 19,099 visits from 1 August compared to 9,513 for 2014 – an increase of just over 100 per cent.
“I would like to thank everyone who visited our campuses on Sunday,” Professor Battersby said. “I hope you found the study program you were seeking. Any prospective students who want to make further enquiries are welcome to contact us for further information.”
