ANDY Pitlik is a steel artisan who creates steel and metal sculptures, wall hangings, installations and gates that will rip the breath out of you. His gregarious wife Kerry is fascinated with gardening and has created an outdoor space that will soothe the soul. You are welcome Andy and Kerry will be opening their property, 10 Woodland Drive, Scarsdale from 10am to 4pm on the 7 & 8 of October.
The garden and studio were first open to the public as an exhibitor in the 2017 Golden Plains Arts Trail. Andy and Kerry had well over 250 visitors across the two days and received outstanding feedback from locals and people who had travelled to experience the property. “In such beautiful surrounds, visitors are often shocked when they first arrive. I’ve had people refer to it as an oasis and “secret garden”. But when they leave we know they are inspired” says Kerry, “the most passionate people stay in contact. Always keen to see Andy’s latest creations or my new gardens.” Andy said “It’s been all hands-on deck preparing for our first Open Studio & Garden on the 7th and 8th of October for 2017. Kerry has been planting and mulching every spare minute with some help from our dogs Holly and Phoenix!” “I’ve been alternating between hiding away in his studio in a flurry of sparks and welding, power tools and working on our greatest piece of artwork to date the Gallery.” Visitors can drop in to see the bud-bursting early spring gardens and Andy’s new jaw-dropping range of sculptures. They’ll be plants for sale and Michael Unwin Wine tastings and the Gallery almost finished.
