Top player for the day does it one handed as Kelly Conroy takes a high pass for Springbank.

AFTER last year’s disappointment Springbank premiership journey has been finalised with a win over Learmonth.

A nail-biting one goal victory in the dying minutes of the match sealed the fate of Learmonth, who had a stellar season leading up to the finals.

It was goal for goal as each side fought for the prize. Springbank co-coach Leanne Birkett said they played in trying conditions but the heat did not stop best on court, Kelly Conroy, playing a magnificent game.

It was up to seventeen year old Rosie Fradd to seal Learmonth’s fate by intercepting in the goal circle. Tiger’s co-coach Garth Kydd added that the team threw everything at this year’s flag.

“We came in as the underdogs. Learmonth were the team to beat – they were superb all season,” he said. “But the girls stuck it out today and it ebbed and flowed but when it counted we came out with the goods.”
